The Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON), Dr. Ifeanyi Chukwunonso Okeke has emphased the need for a comprehensive approach to building collapses in Nigeria. He said the organisation will ensure it prevents repeated incidents from occurring by ensuring the safety and integrity of structures across the country.
In renewed efforts to sanitize the country of substandard steel, the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) has reiterated its commitment to prosecute erring manufacturers and distributors that indulge in the illicit trade. The Chairman, Special Task Force, SON, Engr. Enebi Onuchenyo, stated this at a stakeholders meeting with manufacturers and distributors of steel and iron rods in Lagos.
