Viko Nigeria Partners Consolidated Alliance on Airport Taxi Shuttle for Yuletide


Viko Taxi Global Networks, a subsidiary of Viko Nigeria, is partnering Consolidated Alliance and other airport taxi concessionaires of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) operating pick-up and drop-off of air passengers in both local and international airports in Nigeria for the yuletide.

This was revealed to newsmen on Monday by Chief Kanu Lucky Chidi, Group Managing Director of Viko Nigeria, in Abuja.

“The partnership is to offer air passengers the advantage of a reduced taxi fare by booking airport taxis online for as low as 50% from the current taxi fare across all airports in Nigeria” he added.

According to him, air passengers in all Nigerian Airports will enjoy the reduction in their taxi fares to and from their destination towns and cities, adding that this Xmas offer will become the new standard for air passengers using the services of Viko Nigeria, Consolidated Alliance and its other partners who are FAAN licensed taxi operators nationwide in the New Year and thereafter.

Corroborating the Viko boss, Mr. Ilechukwu Okafor, Project Manager of the multi-faceted Consolidated Alliance, expatiated that the Christmas offer of taxi fee reduction commencing 1st week of December for aviation passengers boarding flights or disembarking at Nigerian airports, is line with technology best practices globally.

“To enjoy the offer, which was designed to exacerbate the current realities of traffic congestion and security in the airport involves aviation passengers downloading the Bustime and Flightstime mobile app from their app stores and book online in advance. The offer can also be accessed through the web by visiting Okafor stressed that the Xmas offer supports Federal Government’s emphasis that Nigerian entrepreneurs should engage in best practices to boost the economy.

Saying that the mobile application can be easily and freely downloaded from Google Play Store, he remarked that online advance bookings will allow FG and FAAN to decongest the airport, allowing only the expected taxis to into the airport. It will also boost the security of passengers whom their information and that of the driver picking them have been documented. This inevitably improves quality service delivery to aviation passengers in all the Nigerian Airports during the Yuletide, the New Year and later.

Furthermore, he unveiled that another innovative incentive for customers of Consolidated Alliance is “book online now and pay later.” According to him, the customers are at liberty to book online and pay after they have used the service at no extra charge and Consolidated Alliance and Viko Taxi Global Networks will ensure value for money to the customers on all airport taxi trips.

Finally, Okafor said all old and new customers, particularly those on the same airline, will enjoy “arrival timed pick-ups, same route and door to door drop off” either in the sedan cars or Sienna SUV buses that carry three passengers at reduced prices. He added that those who may not want to share the vehicles with others will also enjoy the bonanza.
