The 42 years old Pastor Uche and father of seven children, who hails from Nsugbe, Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area of Abia State, was alleged to have tactically consented to an agreement between her wife Mrs. Nkeiruka, Pastor Segun and the mother of the mentally ill lady, Madam Phoebe Ogbeh, who allegedly paid the sum of N47,000 for Joys upkeep throughout her three months absence and trip to Abuja, where she was said to have travelled to wean another and her daughters new born baby.

Trouble was said to have started when Mrs. Phoebe stayed beyond the agreed three months without making provision for Joy’s extra upkeep, thereby necessitating the Pastor’s wife to allow Joy, at the mother’s instructions, to visit some of their distant relations in Ajegunle, Festac, Agric Road, in Igando, for financial assistance.

At one of such visits, Joy was said to have failed to return for weeks, after she argued with her mother, over Phoebe’s plan to send her back to their village in Isele-Ukwu, Delta State.

Every efforts to locate her whereabouts was said to have failed, despite information from sympathizes that she was sighted at different areas of Lagos including Fatoki, Akesan, Obadore, and Ajegunle.

Having ran out of patience, Phoebe and some of her other daughters, named as Franka, Ngozi and Virgi, reported the incident to Igando Police Division, alleging that the two Pastors whom they contracted to conduct deliverance prayers for Joy, had used her for ritual sacrifice.

A reliable Police source confirmed that the two Pastors have been detained since late July, pending the outcome of the search party dispatched to locate the missing mad woman.

The source also confirmed that the pastors are legally been detained on court order, while operatives had applied for mobile telephone network providers call logs, to assist in confirming phone call discussion of the two pastors, with a view to determine their culpability.

In a chat with pastor Uche’s wife she amidst tears narrated that her husband good gesture had landed her family into trouble.

Her words: “I am 40 years old now and married 17 years ago. Mama Phoebe resides around my area and sometimes ago, she visited our church asking for prayers over some of her families problems, which God intervened. She later brought Joy, her mad daughter for deliverance”.

“Subsequently, she came and appealed to us to allow Joy to stay in the church for three months, pending when she returns from her Abuja trip. We did not charge her money but she was sending N15, 000 every month for Joy feeding and upkeep.

“She equally asked us to allow Joy to go for visits to her relatives in Lagos. Sometimes, Joy would go and not come back for days and when we complained, Mama Phoebe asked us not to worry that she used to move out without coming back in the past”.

“The last time of her disappearance, Mama Phoebe spoke to Joy through Mama Oge’s Phone, because my phone fell into water, and they argued about the issue of sending Joy back to their town in Isele-Ukwu, Delta State and immediately after the call, Joy left the house that she was visiting her sister Ngozi and Virgi and she never came back”.

“When we became worried, Virgi came and informed us that we should not worry about Joy as her prophet told them that Joy was safe and will come back”.

“We were surprised when Mama Phoebe and one of her daughters residing in Festac named Franka, came to the church, arrested my husband and Pastor Segun, alleging that they have used Joy for rituals”.

“We have no money to fight this case and the little we borrowed have been spent and still my husband and pastor Segun are still in police custody. I regret that our good intentions to Mama Phoebe and family has turned into evils”

“People that knows Joy’s case, are suspecting that maybe they have sent Joy to Isele-Ukwu but just want to suffer and punish us for reasons we don’t even know, Nkeiruka stated”.
