The king of Ovwie Kingdom, Abe 1,His Royal Majesty Emmanuel Sideso said the infrastructural development of the state by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has made it to be recognized in the comity of nations. His Royal Majesty disclosed this during the commissioning of the newly rehabilitated Ugbomro Road.
He said the rehabilitation of various roads in the state has given room for economic activities to take place as various communities have been linked up. He particularly thanked the state Governor for coming to their rescue by constructing Ogbomro road, adding that this has helped to boost their business activities in the area.
The Royal Majesty however said the kingdom still in need of more assistance from the Governor especially in the construction of Effurun – Sapele road , Effurun- round -about which are begging for repairs , the upgrading of the Ekpan Central Hospital, the construction of the second phase of tanker drivers ‘ park, among others.
On their part, the Unuevworo of Uvie Kingdom, High Chief Ambrose Olugho (JP) and the President General of the community, Mr Elvis Evamadawa expressed joy for the Governor to have come to tar the road saying, they would ever be grateful to him. They however appealed to the Governor to construct other roads in the community, install street light to prevent hoodlums operating at night, construct their market to boost commercial activities.
In his address, the Chairman of Uvwie Local Government Area, Hon. Ramson Onoyake said the local government in general and the Ogbomro Community in particular are grateful for the road construction. He said, since the Governor assumed duty, he has impacted positively on the lives of the people in various ways urging him to keep the flag flying in this direction.
On his part, Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa said he was ready to ensure that Delta is transformed in all ramifications especially in the areas of infrastructural development, insisting that he would look into the areas raised by the various speakers and immediate actions taken . He therefore solicited for the cooperation of Deltans to make the state a befitting place.
