The Cross River State Police Command has paraded the killer of a DSS personnel as well as about 58 other suspected criminals in Calabar.
Parading the suspect at the state police headquarters, Diamond Hill in Calabar, the state commissioner of police, Hafiz Inuwa said the command is determined more than ever before to go all out t fetch criminals not mind in their antics, evil skills and location.
Giving some details about the suspect killer of the personnel, the commissioner said ” on 11th October 2018 at about 2015 hrs, one Emmanuel Michael Abua ‘m’ 58 years (aka kpon kpon) was shooting randomly with a locally made gun close to the Obanliku Division of the force.
“In the process of being disarmed, the suspect stabbed one Mike Orusede – DSS personnel at his rib area with a sharp object and the victim was rushed to Sacred heart hospital Obudu where he was confirmed dead”, he said.
In addition to this, he said 24 armed robbery suspects, 12 thieves, 1 rapist, 5 cultists, 8 kidnappers as well as three persons who possess firearms illegally are in their net.
He maintained that the war against crimes and criminalities remain a continuous exercise and requires the collaborative efforts of all, hence security is everyone’s business.
He charged members of the public to continue to partner with the police private partnerships approach, intelligence gathering and sharing of information to help rid the state of criminal elements.
