Nigeria’s Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has commended the federal government’s resolution of halting the supply of petrol to filling stations very close to country’s borders.
The chairman of the association in charge of Kano, Jigawa, Bauchi and Katsina States, Alhaji Bashir Danmalam made the commendation during interaction with journalists in Kano.
He said the decision taken by the federal government was a wise one, which was aimed at uplifting the well-being of the general populace.
The chairman appealed to the federal government to implore possible measures of addressing the issue amicably, especially with regards to the high number of Nigerians who have invested in the sector.
Alhaji Danmalam assured the people of Kano State and the nation as a whole that the federal government was collaborating with IPMAN in ensuring that the nation did not record any form of fuel scarcity.
He urged the general populace to always respect the rule of law for the development of the nation.
