Wife of the Ekiti State Governor, Erelu Bisi Fayemi has assured that the Southwest women and youths will vote massively for President Mohammadu Buhari and his Vice, Professor Yemi Osinbajo in the forthcoming February 16 Presidential poll.
She also added that the people of the South-west, particularly the women and youths have come to realise that re-electing President Buhari guarantees four more years of progress and meaningful development for the nation.
Erelu Bisi Fayemi spoke on behalf of the First ladies of All Progressives Congress (APC) states in the South-west during recent APC southwest women and youth zonal rally held in Ibadan and organised to campaign massive votes for the re-election of President Buhari and his vice, Osinbajo.
She said: “The southwest is secured for President Mohammadu Buhari and with his deputy, Yemi Osinbajo, we know that the southwest is ready for another level.
“We know what it means to know the road and not to take the wrong direction. We are ready to go to the next level. We are fully ready to go into the next level,” she said.
The rally, which was chaired by wife of President Mohammadu Buhari, Aisha Buhari who was represented by the wife of Vice President, Dr. Mrs. Dolapo Osinbajo was held at the liberty stadium, Ibadan Oyo State as part of the efforts of the 4+4 equals 8 Buhari/Osinbajo 2019 campaign strategy.
Fayemi’s wife said they have mobilised delegates from the respective states: ” to show our support for President Buhari and to let him know that in all six states of the south west they can count on our votes in very significant numbers.
“Nigerian is going forward to the next level, we are not going backwards and we are here as women of the APC to say four more years of President Buhari and four more years of progress and development for our nation.”
The rally was well attended by all the first ladies in the southwest, who are wives of the Governor of Ekiti, Osun, Oyo, Ogun, Ondo, and Osun states, and also wives of the Governor of Kebbi and Nasarawa states, chairperson of the southwest governors’ wives forum, Dr. Florence Ajimobi, APC national leader/National coordinator, Hajia Salamatu Baiwa and Mrs. Kemi Nelson, APC southwest women leader among others.
