It has been revealed now that the DSS Director, Lawal Daura was sacked on Tuesday not only for the role he played in the blockage of the National Assembly, but also for insulting the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo in a meeting.
After the appalling blockage of the National Assembly on Tuesday morning, the acting President Yemi Osinbajo called a security meeting to discuss the development especially after pressure from the US and the U.K.
The sacked Daura grossly insulted the acting President according to Hope for Nigeria in the meeting.
The enraged acting President called President Buhari and threatened that either Daura goes or he will resign immediately.
Osinbajo added that Daura had to go or else the All Progressives Congress (APC) alliance would have ended today.
Buhari gave a passive approval as the resignation of Osinbajo will make the end of his 2019 dream after catalogue of defection his party has been experiencing in the last two weeks.
A new DG for the DSS, Mr Matthew Seida has been appointed on acting capacity.
