Untamed desired of two teenagers to get rich quick has landed them in trouble.
The suspects aged 13 and 14 years (Names with held) were said to be known in police circles as specialist in breaking into peoples shops at the dead of the Night.
They were also alleged to have terrorised Ejigbo area of Lagos, until September 2, 2018, when they were said to have burgled a shop located at Block 397, Jakande Estate Ejigbo and made away with one generator, HP Laptop, Amplifier and CD mixer valued at N15, 000, N90, 000, N40, 000 and N150, 000 respectively.
Having successfully stolen the property estimated to have cost N295,000, the teenagers sold the laptop valued at N90,000 to their 27 years old friend and receiver of stolen properties, Adejogun Babatunde for N2000.
Other criminal collaborator of the teenagers is a 20-year-old Lawal Wasiu, who police said would be arraigned in court along with Babatunde.
Meanwhile the teenagers are being remanded at the Gender unit of the Lagos State Police Command for what police called appropriate action.
In a related development, operatives at Ejigbo Police Division have arrested an 18-year-old Ikechukwu Kalu, who was caught in the act, while stealing a water-pumping machine belonging to one Pastor Ogunleye Fehintolu.
The police officers were said to be on neighbourhood patrol on September 3, 2018, when they sighted the suspect stealing the said pumping machine from No 77, Egbe Road, Ejigbo.
The State Commissioner of Police (CP), Mr. Edgal Imohimi, who paraded the suspects along other crime suspects on Wednesday, September 5th, 2018, stated that the entire suspect would be charged to court at the conclusion of investigations.
