Police Fish Out Armed Robber the Building Roof

A 34 years old ‘Lilly Liver’ armed robber, Abiodun Oluwa, from Atiporomeh Badagry in Lagos State, who escaped when police operatives confronted his gang, has been ‘fished out’ of his mother’s house roof top while hiding inside the ceiling.

Operatives also recovered from his hiding place inside the ceiling, a locally made pistol with one cartridge.

In a related development, the State Police Commissioner, Mr. Edgal Imohimi, has revealed that a total of 15 armed robbers have been arrested in different parts of Lagos State within the period under review.

This he said was in a bid to sustain the peace in the state, hence his command took the fight against armed robbery and other violence crimes to the criminal den and according to him, the result was the arrest of the suspected armed robbers from different parts of Lagos, which he paraded before Journalists on Monday.

In Atiporomeh Badagry, one armed robber was arrested on the 10th of August, 2018. At Abisan Estate, Ipaja, 4 suspects, Ezejah Oluchukwu, Tochukwu Samson, Ifeanyi Oshomi and Tochukwu Matthias were caught vandalizing cars parked at the Abesan Estate and a Toyota Camry Saloon Car with registration number: EKY 361 FC, 20 Pieces of auto glass winding engine, three pieces of vehicle brain boxes, a car tarpaulin, two pieces of side mirrors, one black knife and one school bag were recovered.

At Ishashi, Lagos/Badagry Express way, two suspected armed robbers, John Gabriel and Ajawuso Sunday were apprehended and a locally made pistol with four cartridges was recovered.

However, at Olayinka/Cele area of Itire, police swooped on Toheeb Ogunjimi, Matthew Olumosu, Qudus Akala and Akintoya Faruq and in the process, recovered one black toy gun, one Itel phone, three Nokia phones, one Tecno phone, one Alcatel phone, one Sony phone, one locally made double barrel pistol and one live cartridge.

While at Ojota, under bridge and environs, Ahmed Fasasi, Lekan Oguntayo and Osas Moses met their waterloo. At Ijede/Ikorodu, the Commands Raider Operatives arrested one Seun Fanuga and recovered one toy pistol.

Meanwhile, 12 of the victims in the case of robbery incident at Olayinka/Cele axis have identified the suspects and their properties.
