- Matriculates no fewer than 100 students

The founder of Ajayi Polytechnic, Ikere-Ekiti, Dr Busayo Ajayi said the new intakes of the institution have made a wise decision for coming to the Polytechnic.
This he said during the 2nd matriculation ceremony of the school, which took place at the new site of the Polytechnic on Thursday, 4th April 2019 where almost 100 students matriculated.
Ajayi who urged the students to be determined for their dreams to be actualised said Nigeria; our great nation is waiting for them. He advised them to dream big and stay focused as he explained that the vision of the Polytechnic was born out of the passion to contribute towards solving the unemployment problem of Nigerian graduates.
In his testimony, the founder was able to highlight some of the achievements recorded by the school in the last year.
According to him, “We were able to successfully complete our first academic year on time as scheduled in our academic calendar, indicating that our students already know the day they will graduate immediately they resume”.
He also made reference to one of the staff and a student of the Polytechnic who have been able to secure international engagement through their enrolment to the institution and that they are now being paid in pounds and dollars.
Ajayi restated that they were determined to raise industrial giants that would be sourced globally.
While addressing the students, the Rector of the Polytechnic, Prof. Michael Alonge advised the students to shun cultism, forgery, examination malpractice and other vices that could truncate their academic pursuit throughput their stay at the Polytechnic just as he urged them to be serious with their studies and do away with anything that is capable of jeopardising their future.
Alonge also maintained that the focus of Ajayi Polytechnic has always been to develop human capital through the innovative and entrepreneurial approach in delivering technologically oriented curricula.
The Rector pointed out that accreditation of more courses like Science Laboratory Technology, Business Administration, Public Administration, Mass Communication and Office Technology Management would be done soon.
It could be recalled that the Polytheistic started with just five courses as approved by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), which were Accountancy, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering and Statistics.
However, the Rector added that Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo in Oyo State has approved the affiliation of the Polytechnic to run degree programmes of the University on a regular basis.
The occasion was graced by amongst others, His Royal Majesty, Oba Adejimi Adu, the Ogoga of Ikere, former Commissioner for Works in Ekiti, Mrs Funmilayo Ogun and the officials of the Federal Ministry of Education, State Ministry of Education, Joint Matriculation Examination Board (JAMB) and Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti.
