Communities and other stakeholders have been described as vital components for the attainment of government policies and programmes. Hence, the Ekiti state government believes there is need to present the 2019-2021 Medium-Term expenditure framework to the key stakeholders towards the preparation of the budget.

The government says current economic realities in the country and Ekiti state in particular have made it imperative to be conscious of what should be allocated to the various ministries, departments and agencies in the 2019 budget with a view to ensuring that the proposals capture projects that can be feasible.

The Ekiti state Commissioner for Finance and Economic Planning, Mr Dapo Kolawole, explained that bringing the people into the picture will enable government attain its policies and programmes with less encumbrances, therefore, the gathering of stakeholders whose inputs in the preparation of the 2019 budget will be transmitted to the State House of Assembly.
