- Canvases vote for Buhari, others

Stakeholders in the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State have been urged to embark on house-to-house campaign to ensure violence-free polls ahead of the next Saturday presidential election.
The leaders of the party in a town hall meeting held at Efon-Alaaye in Efon Local Government Area of the state appealed to all the APC members to vote all the APC candidates in the coming election and to shun violence
The convener of the meeting, Hon Olamide Oni, representing Ijero, Ekiti West and Efon Federal Consistency admonished all party faithful to do the needful by coming out enmasse and vote the APC presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari and Hon Wumi Ogunlola into the House representative and all the House of Assembly candidates on the day of elections.
The lawmaker who maintained that APC as a party has delivered on their electioneering promises which will guarantee success in the general election.
“We will not relent on delivering dividends of democracy to our people which we are representing not minding the political party. Our party is the party to beat come next Saturday.
“We will continue to relate as one big family in our consistency and in our party. No cause for alarm in our party because we have put our house in order to will these coming polls. Both Ijero and Ekiti West people supported me in 2015 and we must replicate same on Saturday.
The Director-General, Oni Olamide Campaign Organisation and former Ekiti House Assembly member, Hon. Owolabi Ajibade disclosed that the group have only one agenda on how to move to the next level in the APC.
He said that the meeting was organised in order to laid-off all insinuation of disagreement to rest has no one fight anybody in the party.
Owolabi who thanked Hon Olamide Oni for his doggedness and for the love he has displayed for his people in the party.
According to him: “We thanked our principal for listening to us and grant our request to support our candidate to realise her ambition and to douse the tension in the town”.
Responding, the APC candidate for the House of Representatives, Wumi Ogunlola who could not hold her joy appreciated the party stalwarts for organising the meeting.
“The meeting will go a long way in the history of Ekiti APC and the coming election. I cannot express how joyful I’m on this meeting seeing faces of our leaders here present. I thank you all for your support, prayers and words of encouragement.”
She pledged her readiness to deliver on her electioneering promises to bring dividend of democracy to the people of her constituency.

Ropo Ige, APC chairman Efon-Alaaye Local Government; Hon Michael Ojo-Idowu, Ekiti Central APC Women leader; Alhaji Motunrayo Adesina, Hon Lekan Adekanbi, Hon Christiana Oluwafemi, Chief J.F Alake, Hon Banji Filani, Chief Dele Jeje, Mr Goke Olajide and the host of others.
