In what may appear as a prophecy, the Imo State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Hilary Ekeh, has said that former Governor of Imo State, Dr. Ikedi Ohakim, would emerge the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for the 2019 governorship election.
Ohakim on Friday, July 27, 2018, declared to run for the 2019 governorship on the platform of APGA.
Eke, who is the Imo APC Chairman of the Coalition faction spoke during a meeting of party stakeholders, comprising the State Working Committee, LGA executives and Araraume Campaign Council, on Sunday July 29 called on members of the party still with Rochas Okorocha to return home.
He maintained that he is the authentic chairman of the party.
Ekeh explained that while it is certain that the former Ohakim would fly the flag of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Emeka Ihedioha would take that of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
